As usual, sorry for the anti-posting but here's a brief summary of my last two weeks and I'll write for real after the padres go home.

1. Week with Amy and Annie - absolutely fantastic. Perfect mix of hanging out, luther gossip, beach time, and drinking presidente and brugal.

2. Cabarete for Charlotte and Mike's 21st birthdays - team mess but mom Krista whipped out her skills and still managed to make out out, hookah, steal a beer, and white girl dance in every club on the beach.

3. Parents made it here safely! We got champagne and iced towels as they checked in.. the first of many free drinks I would receive this week because my parents are cool and they don't realize i'm not actually staying at the hotel.

4. EARTHQUAKE on thursday. first one of my life and i barely knew it was happening but the dominicans flipped shit while we thought it was an airplane or something.

4. HAITI on friday.. that's right, made it across the border and back without getting kidnapped or robbed and successfully bought a cute purse for less than three dollars at the haitian market.

5. Mom got her camera ripped off her arm in Santo Domingo by a guy on a motorcycle (terrifying experience..) and now they're scared the leave the hotel, but hopefully we can have a good rest of the trip.
